The Well-Run Concepts Journey: A Legacy of Passion, Purpose, and People

Who we are

From Hospitality to Human Potential

My journey began in the fast-paced world of hospitality, where I honed my craft managing food, beverage, and hotel operations for some of the most iconic properties in the industry. From the historic Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite to being part of the opening team at the Resort at Squaw Creek in California, including a prestigious Five Diamond Four Seasons property! I lived and breathed the art of delivering unforgettable experiences and mastering the art of leadership. My career culminated at a beach hotel in Santa Barbara, where I transitioned into human resources.

However, by 1997, I was ready for a new challenge. That’s when I discovered the TTI assessments—tools that unlocked the mysteries of human behavior and performance. It was like finding the missing puzzle piece for my professional purpose. I founded Well-Run Concepts in Santa Barbara, California, with a clear vision: to empower individuals and organizations to thrive through the power of assessment-based insights.

Two Sciences, One Mission

Back then, the toolkit was simple: DISC and Motivators, two sciences that formed the foundation of our work. I poured my heart into building Well-Run Concepts, and the effort paid off. Early partnerships with industry leaders like Bertelsmann Industry Services, Inamed, and Best Western Corporate Hotels cemented our reputation as a trusted resource for people development.

Along the way, recognition followed. One of the highlights was receiving the prestigious President’s Award from TTI Success Insights with the late Bill Bonnstetter, founder of TTI. This honor acknowledged the meaningful impact we were creating – one client at a time.

From Santa Barbara to the World

In 2005, life brought new changes with the birth of my son. My husband & I traded California’s coastline for the charm of horse country in Ocala, Florida, where we’ve been ever since. We added our daughter to the family in 2008 and my most cherished title is mommy. But our work didn’t slow down. With the rise of technology, we embraced videoconferencing—first on the early days of Skype and later through more advanced platforms—allowing us to extend our reach globally. For close to 30 years, we’ve served a diverse array of industries including healthcare, medical device manufacturing, hospitality and financial services, to name just a few. We have worked with some clients since our inception, and they continue to rely on our expertise in the development and selection of top talent. Notably, we collaborated with the University of Florida's College of Nursing to implement a landmark Holistic Admissions process, and we remain actively engaged with the College of Medicine.

Expanding Our Expertise

What began with two sciences has grown into a comprehensive framework of human understanding. Over the years, we added:
Along this journey, I also earned several awards and certifications, including mastering the TriMetrix HD System through the TriMetrix HD Recertification Exam which we have to do every two years. This certification deepened my understanding of human behaviors, helping me drive performance excellence and provide even greater value to our clients.

The Science and Art of Human Development

After 28 years, I’ve mastered both the science and the art of assessments. However, the heart of my work lies in the personal connections—debriefing profiles, coaching individuals, and building high-performing teams. Whether it’s empowering a leader to reach new heights or helping a team work seamlessly together, my passion is in the transformation. At Well-Run Concepts, we believe in helping individuals and organizations become the best versions of themselves. And after nearly three decades, that commitment hasn’t wavered.

A Legacy in Motion

What started as a small, passionate endeavor in Santa Barbara has grown into a global enterprise, impacting countless lives and businesses. The Well-Run Concepts story isn’t just about what we’ve achieved—it’s about the potential we’ve unlocked in others.
